GARDEN SOIL & COMPOST,
PRICED & DELIVERED IN TULSA

6 yards of bedding mix from $470 delivered in Tulsa County, all-in. Ready-to-plant mixes, straight compost, and the specialty soils, by the cubic yard in one drop instead of a hundred bags.

01

WHICH SOIL DO I NEED?

The one distinction that matters: a MIX is ready to plant into, an AMENDMENT gets blended into what you have.

/ 02

IMPROVE THE SOIL YOU HAVE

The amendments: compost and mushroom compost, tilled into clay to make it behave like soil.

02

THE SOILS, IN DETAIL

918 bedding mix, dark blended planting soil

918 BEDDING MIX

The local all-purpose planting blend: soil and compost pre-mixed so you can fill a bed and plant straight into it. The value pick of the ready mixes.

Use it for: flower beds, shrub plantings, filling new landscape beds.

6 yards delivered: $470

Baseball infield clay, red-brown packed clay

BASEBALL CLAY

Infield clay, the red-brown material ballfields are made of. It packs smooth, holds a rake line, and drains just enough.

Use it for: infields, pitcher's mounds and batter's boxes, warning tracks, horse arenas.

6 yards delivered: $530

Garden mix, rich blended vegetable garden soil

GARDEN MIX

A richer blend built for things you plan to eat: more compost in the ratio than bedding mix, ready to plant into.

Use it for: vegetable gardens, raised beds, herb plots.

6 yards delivered: $575

Compost, dark fully broken down organic matter

COMPOST

Fully broken-down organic matter. This is an amendment, not a soil: till it into what you have and clay starts acting like dirt. Also the honest answer to most "my lawn looks tired" problems, as a thin topdressing.

Use it for: amending beds and gardens, lawn topdressing, prepping ground for sod.

6 yards delivered: $620

Landscapers mix with expanded shale, blended soil with light shale particles

LANDSCAPERS MIX WITH EXPANDED SHALE

Planting mix cut with expanded shale, the kiln-fired mineral that keeps Tulsa clay from re-compacting around roots. What the pros spec for beds that need to stay workable for years.

Use it for: permanent landscape beds, tree and shrub planting in clay, beds you never want to rebuild.

6 yards delivered: $710

Azalea mix, acidic planting soil with fine bark

AZALEA MIX

An acidic, bark-heavy blend for the plants that hate ordinary soil: azaleas, camellias, blueberries, hydrangeas you want blue.

Use it for: azalea and camellia beds, blueberry patches, acid-loving foundation plantings. Top with pine bark mulch.

6 yards delivered: $850

Mushroom compost, fine dark spent mushroom substrate

PREMIUM MUSHROOM COMPOST

Spent mushroom-farm substrate: straw and organic matter composted to a fine, rich finish. Vegetable gardeners swear by it. Blend it in at about one part to three of existing soil.

Use it for: vegetable gardens, rose beds, reviving worn-out beds.

6 yards delivered: $1,040

Super Grow mix, premium dark planting soil blend

SUPER GROW MIX

The top-shelf blend: soil, compost, and amendments already balanced. If the plan is to fill a bed once and have it outperform the neighbors for years, this is that.

Use it for: showpiece beds, serious vegetable gardens, planters and raised beds.

6 yards delivered: $1,100

SOIL QUESTIONS, STRAIGHT ANSWERS

How much does bulk garden soil cost delivered in Tulsa?

Delivered in Tulsa County, 6 cubic yards runs $470 for 918 Bedding Mix, $575 for garden mix, $620 for compost, and up to $1,100 for Super Grow, all-in. Outside Tulsa County adds $50 per load. What is the difference between garden mix, compost, and topsoil?

Topsoil is plain growing dirt (priced on the topsoil & fill dirt page). Compost is fully broken-down organic matter, a soil amendment rather than a soil: you blend it in, you do not plant straight into it. Garden mix and bedding mix are pre-blended combinations of soil and compost, ready to plant into. If you want to fill a bed and plant this weekend, get a mix. If you are improving existing soil, get compost.

How much soil do raised beds need?

Length times width times depth, in feet, divided by 27 gives cubic yards. A standard 4 by 8 foot bed at 12 inches deep is about 1.2 yards, so a 6-yard delivery fills roughly five of them. The calculator on this page does the math from your measurements.

What is mushroom compost good for?

It is the spent growing substrate from mushroom farms: straw and organic matter composted to a fine, rich finish. Vegetable gardeners prize it because it holds moisture and feeds slowly. Blend it in at roughly one part to three of existing soil rather than planting straight into it.

Do you spread the soil into beds?

No. We deliver and dump the pile where you point us, as close to the garden as a loaded truck can safely get. From the pile to the beds is wheelbarrow work.
