Is bulk mulch cheaper than bagged mulch?
Much cheaper per yard. A cubic yard is about 13.5 of the standard 2 cubic foot bags. At typical big-box bag prices that is well over $100 a yard before you haul it yourself. Bulk runs a fraction of that per yard delivered once you are past a few yards.
Which mulch lasts the longest?
Cedar and pine bark break down slowest and hold color the longest naturally. Colored mulch keeps its look through dye, and hardwood native is the workhorse that feeds the soil as it breaks down, which also means you refresh it more often.
Do you spread the mulch?
No. We deliver and dump the pile where you point us, as close to the beds as a loaded truck can safely get. Spreading is wheelbarrow work or a landscaper's job.
